Editorial policy
What this site is
DutyPills.com is a reference index of medications and active ingredients. It describes what a medication contains, what it is approved to treat, how it works and how it is normally dosed. It is not a substitute for a consultation, a diagnosis or a prescription, and nothing here is tailored to an individual.
Where the information comes from
Every page is assembled from publicly available regulatory material: manufacturer prescribing information, national medicines registers such as DailyMed and the European Medicines Agency, and the WHO ATC classification. We paraphrase these sources in plain language rather than reproducing them verbatim, and each medication page links back to a search in the official register so any statement can be checked against the current label.
What we do not publish
We do not publish individualised dosing recommendations, we do not claim that any medication is safe or effective for a particular reader, and we do not present unreviewed personal accounts as evidence. Where the regulatory sources disagree between countries, the page says so rather than picking one.
Review and updates
Each page carries the date its underlying content file was last changed. Regulatory information changes — labels are revised, warnings are added, products are withdrawn — so a page that has not been updated recently should be treated as a starting point and confirmed against the linked register.
Corrections
If you find an error, an outdated statement or a broken source link, write to us through the contact page. Corrections to factual content are made directly on the affected page and the update date changes accordingly.
Commercial relationships
Some pages carry affiliate links, which are labelled as such where they appear. Affiliate arrangements do not determine which medications are covered, how they are described, or the order in which they appear.
Who writes this
- Editorial Team
The DutyPills editorial team compiles and maintains the medication and active-ingredient reference on this site. Every page is assembled from publicly available regulatory sources — manufacturer prescribing information, national medicines registers and the WHO ATC classification — and is rewritten in plain language rather than reproduced verbatim. The team does not provide medical advice and has no clinical relationship with readers.
