Tablets can be taken with or without food.
Indications
Brand Premarin is approved for moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms of menopause, vulvovaginal atrophy due to menopause, osteoporosis prevention in postmenopausal women at significant risk, and primary ovarian failure or female hypogonadism. According to current guidelines, hormone therapy is best initiated within 10 years of menopause and before age 60, when the risk-benefit profile is most favourable. The combination with a progestogen is required in women with intact uterus.
